The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Confey contained the following places:

"CONFEY, a parish in the barony of North Salt in the county of Kildare, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles N.E. of Celbridge. Lucan is its post town. The road from Dublin to Maynooth and the Royal canal pass through the parish. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Dublin, value with Leixlip, £527, in the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin. There are remains of a castle, of which Camden makes mention."
