The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Dunmanoge contained the following places:

"DUNMANOGE, (or Dumnanoyse, or Monmohennock), a parish in the baronies of Kilkea and Moone, in the county of Kildare, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles W. of Castledermot, its post town. It lies along the E. bank of the river Barrow. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Dublin, value with Castle-Dermot, £489, in the patronage of the archbishop. There is a Roman Catholic chapel at Levitstown, united to those of Dermot and Timolin, also a National school.
