The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Kilmore contained the following places:"KILMORE, a parish in the barony of Carbury, county Kildare, province of Leinster, Ireland, 10 miles N. of Rathangan. Edenderry is its post town. It is 2½ miles long by 1½ mile broad. The living is united with that of Castle-Carbury. Windmill Lodge is the principal residence of the locality."
