In 1868, the parish of Mylerstown contained the following places:

"MYLERSTOWN, a parish in the barony of Carbury, county Kildare, province of Leinster, Ireland, 9 miles N.W. of Robertstown. Kinnegad is its post town. The parish is 4 miles long, and its extreme breadth is nearly 3 miles. The surface is boggy and flat. The living is a vic, in the diocese of Kildare, value with Castle Carbury, £233. There is a day school, also ruins of the church and of an old castle."
