The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Coolkerry contained the following places:

"COOLKERRY, a parish in the baronies of Clandonagh and Clarmallagh, Queen's County, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles to the E. of Rathdowney. The parish is divided by the intrusion of a part of Aghaboe. The living is an impropriate rectory in the diocese of Ossory. The nearest church is at Rathdowney, that of this parish being in ruins."
