The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Curraclone contained the following places:

"CURRACLONE, a parish in the barony of Stradbally, in Queen's County, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles N.E. of Stradbally, its post town. It lies near the river Barrow. The soil is clayey, with a limestone bottom. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Leighlin, value £177, in the patronage of the bishop. The church was built at the expense of the parish in 1804. The principal seats are Ballymans, Brockly Park, and Ballykilcavin."
