The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Killermogh contained the following places:

"KILLERMOGH, (or Kildermoy), a parish in the barony of Clarmallagh, Queen's County, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles N.W. of Durrow. Ballycolla is its post town. It is 2 miles long by 1; mile broad. The surface consists chiefly of a light soil, and is traversed by the road from Durrow to Mountrath. The living is a rectory and vicarage in the diocese of Ossory, value £446. The church was a gift of the late Board of First Fruits in 1809. There are Sunday and two day schools. Eglish is the neighbouring seat. Armuighe was the ancient name of this parish. It is supposed to be the site of a Culdee establishment founded by St. Columb in 558.
