In 1868, the parish of Cloncrew contained the following places:

"CLONCREW, a parish in the barony of Upper Connello, in the county of Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 9 miles S.E. of Newcastle. It is a small place, belonging to the see of Limerick, but is without church or chapel.
