The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Clonkeen contained the following places:

"CLONKEEN, a parish in the barony of Clanwilliam, in the county of Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 4 miles S.E., of Castle-Connel. The living is a mensal to the see of Cashel. The church is in the Norman style. Here is a police station. The land is well cultivated."
