The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilfrush contained the following places:

"KILFRUSH, a parish in the barony of Smallcounty, county Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 5 miles S.E. of Bruff, its post town. It is about 1 mile in length and breadth. The soil is generally good. The road from Kilmallock to Tipperary traverses the interior. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Emly, value with Aney, £492, in the patronage of the crown pro tem. Kilfrush House is the principal residence. Limestone is abundant."
