The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Ardmulchan contained the following places:

"ARDMULCHAN, a parish in the barony of Skreen, in the county of Meath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles to the N.E. of Navan. It is situated in a fertile district on the river Boyne. Limestone and building stone are quarried here. The living is a rectory united with that of Painestown in the diocese of Meath. Ardmulchan House is the principal residence."
