The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Balfeaghan contained the following places:

"BALFEAGHAN, a parish in the barony of Upper Deece, in the county of Meath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 10 miles to the S. of Trim. The Royal canal passes to the south of the village. The living is a rectory forming part of the union of Ruddonstown.
