The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Ballymagarvey contained the following places:

"BALLYMAGARVEY, a parish in the barony of Upper Duleek, in the county of Meath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 7 miles to the S. of Slane. It lies in a fertile and well-cultivated country, on the south bank of the Nanny Water. The living is a vicarage, part of the union of Kentstown, in the diocese of Meath. At some distance is an extensive common, adjoining the bog of Garristown. The seats are Ballymagarvey, Balrath, &c."
