The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Cushinstown contained the following places:

"CUSHINSTOWN, (or Cullinstown), a parish in the barony of Skreen, in the county of Meath, province of Munster, Ireland, 5 miles S. of Duleek, its post town. It is situated on the road from Dublin to Slane. The living is a curacy in the diocese of breath, value with Duleek, £232, in the patronage of the Marquis of Drogheda. There is a day school for boys and girls.
