The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilsharvan contained the following places:

"KILSHARVAN, (or Beaumont) a parish in the baronies of Lower and Upper Duleek, county Meath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles S.E. of Drogheda, its post town. The parish is 2 miles long by 1½ mile broad. The soil is good, and is drained towards the E. by the Nanny-water. The living is a vicarage with Colp, in the diocese of Meath, value £131. Kilsharvan House is the chief residence. There are ruins of the ancient church. Limestone abounds.

"SHALLON, a village in the parish of Kilsharvan, barony of Lower Duleek, county Meath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles S. of Drogheda, on the road from Duleek to Nynch."
