The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Stackallan contained the following places:

"STACKALLAN, a parish in the barony of Upper Slane, county Meath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles N.E. of Navan, its post town. The surface lies along the river Boyne, and is intersected by the road from Navan to Slane. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Meath, value £420, in the patronage of the crown and bishop. The church was erected about 200 years ago. There is a parish school. Stackallan House is the seat of Viscount Boyne.
