The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Clonpet contained the following places:

"CLONPET, a parish in the barony of Clanwilliam, in the county of Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 2 miles to the S.W. of Tipperary. The surface is very mountainous, the principal summit rising 1,000 feet above sea level, among the Slievenamuck range. The living is a vicarage, united with Lattin, in the diocese of Emly. Ballyglass and Brookville are the chief residences."
