The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilclonagh contained the following places:

"KILCLONAGH, a parish in the barony of Eliogarty, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 4 miles N. of Thurles, its post town. The parish is barely a mile in length, and about half a mile in breadth. The surface is boggy, with a fair proportion of good land. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Cashel, value with Moyne, £441, in the patronage of the bishop. There is one private school."
