The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Corbally contained the following places:

"CORBALLY, a parish in the barony of Gualtiere, in the county of Waterford, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles to the W. of Dunmore. Roscrea is its post town. It lies along the eastern side of Tramore Bay, near Aland's Bay, and consists of varied soil. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Waterford, value with Killure, £99, in the patronage of the bishop. There is a Roman Catholic chapel, united to that of Tramore, and a National school."

"SUMMERVILLE, a hamlet in the parish of Corbally, barony of Gaultiere, county Waterford, Ireland. It is a coastguard and fishing station on Tramore Bay. In the vicinity is Summerville Lodge, the seat of Earl Fortescue."
