The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Guilcagh contained the following places:

"GUILCAGH, a parish in the barony of Upperthird, county Waterford, province of Munster, Ireland, 5 miles S.E. of Carrick-on-Suir. Tramore is its post town. It is situated on the lower part of the stream Cloddagh. The soil is rich, and there is a large extent of woodland. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lismore, value with Dunhill, £102. Here are two schools."
