The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Reisk contained the following places:

"REISK, a parish in the barony of Middlethird, county Waterford, province of Munster, Ireland, 5 miles S.W. of Waterford. Clonmel is its post town. The surface is hilly. The living it; a vicarage in the diocese of Waterford, value £63, in the patronage of the bishop. The church has long been in ruins. There is a private day school. At a hill called the "Heap" lead ore rich in silver is found. On the hill called the "Sugar Loaf" is a large cromlech, and another cromlech and rath are also traced near Pembrokestown."
