The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Ardcandrisk contained the following places:

"ARDCANDRISK, (or Ardcandridge), a parish in the barony of Shelmaliere, in the county of Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles to the N.W. of Wexford. It is situated on the south bank of the river Slaney, on the road from Wexford to Enniscorthy. The living is a rectory forming part of the union of St. Patrick's, Wexford, in the diocese of Ossory, Ferns, and Leighlin. Ardcandusk House the principal residence, stands on a wooded hill with a fine view over the river.
