The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Duncormick contained the following places:

"DUNCORMICK, a parish and post town in the barony of Bargy, in the county of Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles W. of Bridgetown. It is situated near the lough bearing its name, and on the road from Broadway to Fethard. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ferns, value £272, in the patronage of the bishop. A new church has lately been erected in the place of the ancient building. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to that of Kilmannon. There are National and three other day schools and a police station. Petty sessions are held every month. Duncormick Castle is an old Roman ruin. Limestone is abundant.
