It was founded in 1242, the current church was described as "The main body of the church is a long buttressed box apparently of the 16th or early 17th century, but probably standing on medieval foundations." (Source - Canmore)
OPRs (Old Parish Registers) exist from 1598 for both Births and Marriages. Deaths are limited to a short period between 1665 - 1669, before restarting in 1817.
The NRS website details the condition of the records, and any gaps. Early records "are very much wasted, and many entries imperfect."
