The Wesleyan Methodist Historic Roll. Comprises 50 volumes or over 17,500 pages containing the names of over one million people who contributed one guinea to the Twentieth Century Fund, also known as the Million Guinea Fund. The fund was launched in 1898 and by the time it closed in 1904 had raised £1,073,682.  Many of the pages of the Historic Roll contain the signatures and addresses of the donors, as well as donations given "in memoriam".The names of many Sunday School scholars who donated one shilling  each to the fund may also be found in the Historic Roll.  When the fund closed in 1904 all the pages were returned to London and bound into these 50 Volumes.
Facsimiles of Volumes 17-19 are held by the Glamorgan FHS  and may contain further information. These volumes cover the South Wales circuits from Gwent in the east across to Dyfed in the west and includes in excess of 15,000 names.

Reed, Clive. TARENI COLLIERY: The Mine, the Miners and their Communities - a History of a Mining Enterprise in the Swansea Valley. Published 2016.  Tareni Colliery was a deep mine working anthracite from 1902 to 1949, opened by the South Wales Primrose Coal Company which had been operating in various forms around Pontardawe from mid-19th century.  Tareni was in the parish of Cilybebyll but very many of the miners came from Godre'r Graig on the other side of the valley in Llangiwg parish.The book has a number of illustrations and includes information gathered from interviews with Tareni miners and mining families.
