Notes

  • In other documents the following alternative spellings have been seen which appear to refer to the same people/places:-
    Killett/Kellett.
  • William CHURCHMAN of Mangreen, Norfolk had a daughter Ann or Anna who married Robert Cowan KELLETT on 2nd/Nov/1758 at Swardeston. She was buried 18/May/1802 aged 69 years as a widow at Illington.
  • Robert Churchman KELLETT (the Rector of Illington - installed 15th October 1787 - Anna Kellett, widow holding the patronage at that time) assumed the surname of LONG in 1797. This was when a "Sarah LONG" (died 1797) left him the Norfolk estates at Dunston. Robert (born c.1761/2) was buried at Dunston on 17/Feb/1841 aged 79 years at which time a new Rector was appointed.
  • The abbreviation "Frs" = "Francis".
