Notes

  • 1. Gorleston has been transcribed in full even it did not become part of Norfolk until much later.

  • 3. Mendham is partly in Norfolk so has been transcribed in full, so the places of residence here are in Suffolk.
  • 4. Southtown is now part of Great Yarmouth.
  • 5. Thetford here comprises the parts of "Thetford St. Cuthbert" and part of "Thetford St. Peter" which are in Lackford Hundred in Suffolk.
The rest of Thetford is in Shropham Hundred in Norfolk and contains 50 acres of Thetford St. Peter, 50 acres including Ford Place (formerly extra parochial) of Thetford St. Cuthbert and all of the parish of "Thetford St. Mary".
