Pomoroy is a civil parish, a village (in the townland of Cavanakeeran) and also a townland. The village lies to the southwest of the town of Cookstown, on the Omagh to Dungannon road. The townland lies just to the east of the actual village and straddles the boundary of the civil parishes of Pomoroy and Desertcreat.
